Dr. Victoria Lyon
Dr. Lyon attended Floyd Junior College (now Georgia Highlands College) beginning at the age of 17, having skipped her senior year of high school. She graduated summa cum laude from Berry College, in Georgia, where she earned her B.S. degree with a biology major and animal science minor. A member of Alpha Chi national honor society and recipient of the Dana Scholarship, Dr. Lyon was a founding member of the pre-vet club at Berry College. Dr. Lyon earned her D.V.M. degree at the University of Georgia/ College of Veterinary Medicine, graduating with honors as an inductee into Phi Zeta Veterinary Honor Society. While at UGA Dr. Lyon was a member and officer of Omega Tau Sigma veterinary fraternity, and served as secretary/treasurer of her graduating class. Upon graduation she entered a small animal practice, but quickly found herself working as a bovine and equine veterinarian in the livestock industry, actively participating in the early days of artificial insemination and embryo transfer. Dr. Lyon has been with Airport Veterinary Clinic since 1993. She is an active member of the Village Baptist Church in Destin, has two children, and is happily married to Destin realtor Grady Crank.
